Lightning Wicked Circus

This is an Intermediate to Advanced class. While doing this egg you will be marking painting assembling the Jester and applying material to the egg and tent topper. You will start on the light base with the lights (the base will come pre-lit, but in class Bob will demo how to attach the lights to the base itself. Once the base is painted and dry, you will begin the process of attaching the lights to the egg behind the photo and onto the Jester.

2nd part of the class will be assembling the egg for those who took the entire class. After the lights are where you want them you will assemble the egg. If time allows you will paint the Blade Dancer, the Ticket Booth, the Stairs and the Butterfly Balloons. This egg may not be finished during class. Students should bring RET’s Small thin paint brushes, Loctite Gel Superglue, Aleen’s Fabric Fusion

Part 2 – Lighting only. The lighting only portion of the class comes with an inexpensive soldering set up, the base for the light, the lights and the battery holder. Bob will demo how to put the lights together and then will be there to help you splice the lights and help with the assembly of the base lights. Students should bring RET’s

In this fun class, you will receive a marked, white painted goose egg, a partially painted clown head, a pair of hands, shoes, and balloons. You will be painting the colors of your choice. No two clowns will be the same. I will demonstrate a technique of making ruffles with paper. I will also have alternative decorating choices available for those who prefer. No homework will be necessary.You should be able to complete your egg in class. You must contact me by 7/3 to reserve your spot as kits will be limited. Kits may be paid and picked up time of class.

Small/Medium goose egg decorated with a deer silk print (student choice of print), 3d printed frame and sitting on deer antlers on an octagonal base. Students will paint the frame, egg, antlers and base. Students will also use a heat gun to shape the frame around the silk print and finish with added bling. This egg should be finished in class. A great way to start the show – join us for this fun time where you can work on your eggchange eggs or just visit. Munchies will be provided along with goodies to use to create your eggs or work on the days projects. A limited number of Eggchange kits inspired by the Circus theme are available for pre-order at $30 (includes egg) on the registration paperwork and are deliverable on the class day.. This is a beautiful addition to our “paisley” collection. A gorgeous silk print graces the front of this egg, with the remainder of the egg covered in a pattern resembling a giraffe’s coloring made with cord, no hole pearls and crystals. This egg may not be finished in class.

Rhea wgg will be pre-cut and ready for you to paint and decorate in class with braid red Jelly Rhinestones and glitter. Students should bring RET’s including Tacky Glue, small paint brush for painting the red lines on the outside ofthe egg and the yellow on the inside of the egg. Paints: Red, White and Yellow paint will be provided in class. If you want the inside of the egg a different color, you will need to provide that paint.

Flamin’ Lion

Small/medium goose egg with an oval opening has a lion jumping out through flames. The base, stand, lion and egg will be pre-painted for the class. The students will paint the flames and then put the egg together. The lion, base, stand, flames, floor and booster (for inside the egg) will be 3D printed. This egg should be finished in class.

PYSANKY – Snowflake Ornament

This is a great Beginner class for pysanky. Students will receive all materials, including a pattern sheet with 6 eggsamples (6 borders with 6 snowflake designs for a total of 36 design possibilities). Students will pick 1 overall color for the background (provided) Students should bring RET’s including Reading/magnifying glasses if needed, studio apron for dyeing, portable work light if desired, kistka, etc.

Cancellation policy: There will be a $5 non-refundable fee for class. The materials cost for the class will be added to that. This will cover space lost to instructor and time/materials outlay. I will reimburse student for remainder due to illness or emergency.

In this fun and easy class, you will learn the basics of Brush Embroidery using Liquid Pearl Paint and how to finish your eggs (top and bottom) with the BTH Finishing Kit. You will be provided a 1 goose egg in your choice of red, green or white, a coordinating color of liquid pearl and the top and bottom filigree and beads needed.

PYSANKY – Romanian Style Raised Wax Class

Students will create a Romanian style egg with colored waxes that are left on the egg. Waxes are applied with a candle-heated kistka (essentially a tiny funnel on a stick). All materials will be provided (prepared egg, waxes, tools, candles, pencils, finish coat, handout). Students whould bring RET’s including kistka.

PYSANKY – Keeping The Old Ways Alive: A Create and Learn Pysanky Workshop

Come learn about the ancient art of writing pysanky! Attendees will write variations of the traditional 40 triangle design while learning about the folklore and symbolism of the traditional pysanka. All supplies included. Heather Moore was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio’s Slavic Village and today creates pysanky in a small Columbus, Ohio studio. Heather shares her Slavic heritage and her family’s immigration story through Ohio History Connection, Ohio Designer Craftsmen, and the Ohio Arts Council’s ADAP program.

Using a Rhea egg, you will create a picturesque park inside with a working lamp post, trees, grass , a pond and a walkway along with mini figures enjoying the view. “Peek in the park” Rhea eggshell with self contained lighting/battery. Easy to change, commonly used coin battery hidden in a pocket underneath with a hinged door.

A 9 1/2 inch goose egg is delivered painted and glittered in an awesome chartreuse velvet glitter. You will paint the inside blue and trim the side cutouts with camouflage lace. Then enhance that lace with blue berries and glass leaves. On top and inside you will make a flower arrangement in blues and yellows. Then place a stag front and center. Bring RET’s and a paint brush.

Super Mini Class -Gemstone Trees

In this fun and easy class, you will learn how to create a wire tree made from Gemstones that will be a perfect addition to any egg. You will be supplied with enough gemstone pieces to make several trees as well as the wire needed to create your tree and a wood base for it to stand in. Students should bring Wire clipper and needle nose pliers along with RET’s. Tree colors will vary.

PYSANKY – Boo to You!

These eggs are done by wax resist (Pysanky) techniques. Students will be provided with brown eggs to work on. Several design ideas will be provided to create a unique Jack-o-Lantern egg. Students will wax, dye, unwax, and attach greenery to their spooky creations. Dyes, greenery and glue will be provided. Students should bring RET’s including kiska and wax. Students will create a a traditional style Ukrainian pysanka using the wax resist (batik) method. All materials will be provided (prepared egg, wax, dyes, traditional tools, candles, pencils, handout) Three dye options will be available using the same basic design (traditional dye progression, white on a solid backgroun or faux sgraffito). Students should bring RET’s including kistka, glasses or magnifier.
