NEW THIS YEAR! Pysanky Playdate: This year we are setting aside a room just for Pysanky artists to work, socialize and play. It will be situated right off the showroom floor. The Pysanky Playdate will be Saturday Sept 21 from 8am to 9pm and Sunday from 8am to 3pm. Pysanky classes are scheduled between other classes on Saturday and Sunday. Please remember – you must contact instructors directly to reserve your places in class.
Registered Guests/ Pysanky Players: To participate in any of the show events, you must purchase a Registered Guest badge or Pysanky Player Badge. Your badge will grant you early access to the showroom; attendance in any class seminar (seminars start on Thursday, September 19th); special Friday Opening Night Reception; access to the “Nesting Place” area that will be open to artists who wish to work on projects in the evening and the ability to participate in our annual theme contest.
Contests:. Awards will be given out on Sunday at 3pm.
“Big Top” theme competition: This is open to Registered Guests/Pysanky Players. Your boxed, unsigned, decorated egg or art piece/display for the theme contest must be delivered to the information table on Friday between 8am and 4pm. The egg or art piece must have been designed and created by you in the past year. Winners will be chosen by “People’s Choice” vote. Be creative and have fun!
EggChange ornaments: Our previous Eggchange was such a hit, we decided to do it again! Bring a decorated egg ornament (goose or duck) in the show theme style to hang on our special trees. They will be on display Friday and Saturday during showroom hours. As you are leaving, you will receive an Eggchange egg created by another artist. Eggchange ornaments should be brought to the information table by Friday at 4pm. “Eggchange Egg” kits are available to order on the form and website for $30 that include silk prints and goodies to help you create your masterpiece. Eggchange egg kits include a prepainted goose egg. Egg kits will be available for pick up at the Thursday Night Eggchange Egging Party.
Fun photos: On Friday during the Opening Night Reception we will have a free “photo booth” set up and photographs will be taken of all show attendees. You can take your own – or have our Photographer immortalize you. Join your friends and create a memory of the occasion. Photos taken by our Photographer will be printed and available for pickup on Saturday during showroom hours.
Opening Night Reception: We are happy to host a reception held on Friday night in the Showroom from 5pm to 7pm. Appetizers and a cash bar will be available for Registered Guests as you begin your shopping, vote your choice for the theme contest, visit the photo booth and socialize.
Nesting Place: Tired of having your room smell like epoxy? Does your roommate want to get some sleep while you are working away at a class project? The Nesting Place is an area we have set aside during and after the showroom closes that will give you the chance to enjoy the company of fellow artists while you work.
Door Prizes: Join in the fun by completing the Door Prize entry form found in your registration packet. Drawings will be held throughout the show. Thanks to the generosity of our participants and friends for contributing the prizes for the drawings. Winners must be present to win. One entry form is good for both days.
Pack & Ship Station: Open select hours. Pack your precious goodies to ship home directly from the showroom floor. Packing supplies will be free, but postage is not.
Hotel Information: Discounted Hotel Rooms are available by mentioning the Ohio Egg Show when calling for your reservations. Room block is limited so get your room reservations in early!

A discounted rate has been negotiated with the hotel. Rooms are $109 per night (double occupancy plus tax) Please note – breakfast is included in the room rate this year! Please ask for the group rate when reserving your room. You can call the hotel directly at 1-440-871-6000. Room block is limited so make your reservations early.
Seminars: Teachers have developed wonderful class seminars for you to consider. Please follow the information provided to contact teachers directly to reserve space in classes. You must be a registered guest or a Pysanky player in order to attend classes. Please note – instructors are only allowed to sell materials that directly relate to the Project they are teaching during class time. All instructors are required to have at least 1 Exhibitor or Dealer table. Please purchase any additional supplies during showroom hours.
Showroom: The showroom will be open on Friday Night (5pm to 7pm); Saturday (9am to 5pm) and Sunday (9am to 3pm) for Registered Guests. General Public hours will begin at 9 am on Saturday and Sunday. All Exhibitors and Dealers must have at least eight (8) eggs or art display pieces for review or sale.
Exhibitor Table: Exhibitors are defined as those showing and/or selling their own decorated eggs. The table fee is $50. Please note: Any exhibitor selling additional items will be presented with an invoice at the show upgrading their table to dealer status.
Dealer Table: Dealers are defined as those selling merchandise including but not limited to real authentic eggshells, your own decorated eggs, kits, cut eggs, supplies, miniatures, etc. The table fee is $100.00. Please note on the form if you plan to sell Eggshells at your table, and what type. In order to be fair, eggshells types will be distributed among the dealers who wish to sell unadorned shells. For example – Dealer A will sell only goose shells, Dealer B will sell only Ostridge, Dealer C will sell only Duck. In this way – all dealers will be able to sell their products with no competition. Assignments will be given on a first come, first served basis.
All tables are 6 foot x 2 1/2 foot and the hotel will provide the table covers. All exhibits are to remain in place until 4 pm on Sunday September 24, 2023. The showroom opens on Friday at 5pm for registered guests for Sales and Opening night reception. If you would like to demonstrate something please indicate this on your form so an additional space is made near your table for demos.
Electricity is provided; you must bring your own extension cords and duct tape. All cords MUST be taped down. Please indicate need for Electricity on the registration form. No boxes or paraphernalia are permitted in the showroom aisles after set up time. Table fee is nonrefundable. No one other than dealers, exhibitors and their helpers are permitted in the showroom during set up.
Set up: Set up time for Dealers and Exhibitors begins on Thursday, Sept 19 at 9am. All tables must be set up by 4pm on Friday.
Assistant information: Each table fee includes free registered guest status for dealer or exhibitor. Assistants are limited by the number of tables you reserve. Every 2 tables qualifies you for 1 assistant. Assistants are allowed into the showroom during vendor hours as well as being granted Registered Guest privileges.

Opening Night Reception is a cash bar with free appetizers.
Hotel has an onsite restaurant that will be open limited hours. TIme has been set aside each day for Lunch served in the restaurant if your choose.
Please indicate if you would like to donate an item for a prize drawing. Any item/egg donated should be presented to the welcome table on Friday by 3pm.
